Running it yourself costs nothing
That part is not a placeholder and never will be: Piper is licensed under the AGPL, so you can run the entire stack on your own hardware without paying anyone. It is not a pricing tier — it is what the licence already grants you.
What is still open
The questions that have to be answered before any of the above becomes real:
- Whether a company is billed per company, per person, or per claimed officer.
- What storage is included, and what happens past it.
- How Cayso and money relate — citizens already pay for storage in Cayso, and node operators are already paid in it.
- Whether a community deployment is priced at all, or funded by its own treasury.
